You are looking at a Kay 1982s Style Leader from 1963, this single cutaway model in a beautiful Sunburst, with two copper colored anodized aluminum pickguard strips. This guitar was known as the Style Leader in several versions in regard to the pickup count, this model has 2 pickups, a pickup selector and what appears to be volume and tone controls for each pickup. This guitar is timeless in the blues man’s life. Comes with a chip board case, this is possibly the original case to the guitar, however I cannot confirm this.
Kay Swingmaster Model K673 with 3 toaster/tissue-box pickups, multi pickup selector switch, in two tone sunburst and a classic rounded cutaway semi hollow body with a f-hole in a non-original hardshell case. The lightly flamed maple body displays very nice finish checking. Block inlays on a rosewood neck, with a black and white checkered/stitched binding. Pickup selector switch and volume/tone configurations for each pickup. Overall, it’s in excellent condition for the years it has been around, it is a very nice example of this model and certainly a rare find for those that know the quality of these instruments.
