National Bel-Aire Model 1198 made in 1959 this a Jazz Model with a slightly thicker body in a beautiful natural finish with a classic headstock design and the National logo. These single pointed cutaway models appeared from 1953 until 1961 mainly in Sunburst, so this Natural Finish is a probably considered few and far between in this condition. National had Gibson make these bodies for them and they attached their necks to what we know now as the ES-175 by Gibson, so you can understand why this body is so fine and luxurious to the point that if you did not know this fact, you would be scratching your head with amazement as to why National could make such a fine guitar. This 3 pickup bound body, has a Master Tone knob control. It has the original “Stone” Case and is a fine case for the day this beautiful guitar made it into the market place.
